Show me the money!
Proceed go to charity Membership drive
Show me the money! is a professionally managed community card game at the Brooksville Elks Lodge #2582 that blends social excitement with a commitment to growth through a charity Membership drive. This structured 10-round event features a $1.00 buy-in per set, where 50% of each pot is paid to winners and 10% is reserved for a high-stakes Game 10 Super Pot. To ensure total transparency and integrity, game workers oversee all play, requiring participants to be 18+ with valid ID and follow strict visibility and marking protocols. To qualify for the grand finale, players must participate in rounds 7, 8, and 9, making every round vital. Whether you are joining the standard session or the 15-round Mega variation with unlimited pot sizes, this cash-only experience offers a trustworthy and authoritative environment where every "Show me the money!" call directly benefits local charitable initiatives and the expansion of the Elks community.
Event Date: Saturday, May 9th
Event Time: Starts at 5:30 PM

Rules of the game:
1. The game will consist of ten (10) separate card drawings, with each of the ten (10) games of $1.00 per set of cards. Games 1-9 will pay out 50% of the pot to the winner or winners of the game. 40% of the pot will go to the American Legion Post 101 Building fund, and 10% will be held over to form a super pot for game 10.
2. Players can buy any number of card sets for each game. The card sets can be traded between games for other sets of cards, increase or decrease their number of card sets or simply set out the round of play by turning in any card sets in their possession. These actions must be completed during the time between games. Workers will come around to each player and collect the money according to the number of cards being played. Unused card sets will be displayed on a table where players can pick card sets with their preferred group of single cards.
3. All purchased card sets must be displayed on the table in front of the players. No card sets can be held out of sight of game workers or placed inside items being carried by players. Any player attempting to conceal cards will be asked to leave the game.
4. When “SHOW ME THE MONEY” is called, all players should retain their card sets until the win is verified by a game worker
5. To be eligible for game (10), a player must have purchased at least one set of cards for games 7,8,9. Each player who buys into games 7,8,9 will be given a raffle-type ticket for each game. Only players with the three tickets will be allowed to buy into game #10. The players will mark cards with non-permanent type items, such as pull tabs from a drink can, and then the cards can be used over and over. Markers will be provided by the game workers.
6. The pot for game ten (10) will consist of the 10% collected from each of games 1-9 and the money collected from buy-ins for game 10. 50% of the proceeds from game 10 will be paid to the winner, and 50% of the proceeds will go to Post 101.
7. Ample time will be allowed between the calling of cards to give players a chance to check and mark their cards. If a player calls “SHOW ME THE MONEY”, the winning set of cards must contain the last card called. Given the large number of random sets of cards, multiple players may win a game.
8. Only persons 18 years of age or older will be allowed to play. A Driver’s license, State ID card, or other valid type of ID with DOB listed will be required to play. Players do not need to be members of the American Legion or its affiliated organizations.
9. MEGA SHOW ME THE MONEY: If a Mega game is being played, the rules will be the same, with the following exceptions. 15 games will be played with an unlimited number of card sets available and no limit on the pot size. Games 12,13,14 will be required to be played to be eligible to play game 15.
